One of my all time favorite albums; and so hard to choose a standout track because [with the exception of no.1 which I excluded] it all works as a suite, a complete movement, a satisfying arc, a progression from A to Z. I am aware the CD holds 3 extra tracks from the Blacklist 12″; and if memory serves me, a cassette I was given decades ago had the extra tracks. [mental note: must pick up the CD] These were archived from my overplayed vinyl yet I find the rice crispies add another layer to the mist.
the players:
The Silverman (Phil Knight) - keyboards, samples and loops
Patrick Q Wright - violins, viola, keyboards, drum prgramming, percussion
Edward Ka-Spel - vox and keyboards
Hanz Myre - saxophones, flute and electronix
The Pink Dots continue to create and tour, with a rumoured North American leg in the works.
Man, its rough to lose a member of your family. Elvis was with us for 12 years. Fell victim to the big C. But I have to give it to him, he was graceful to the end, strong and stoic, a true jungle cat.

and then my son surprises us with 2 new kittens this week, both rescues; they are such little jello muffins of machine gun purrs and unbridled joy in the smallest distraction; and we shall call them Boris and Natasha. Ahh, the pitter patter of wee feet.
